It is with great sadness that we share the news of the death of a friend and long-time Nature Artists’ Guild member, Barbara Papamarcos.
Barbara’s friendly face in the front row at our Nature Artists’ Guild programs, her kind words of encouragement for her fellow artists, and her passion for and curiosity about both nature and art will be greatly missed.
Barbara was a good friend and enthusiastic about botanical water colors. She rarely missed a NAG meeting or show. Barbara had an elegance all her own, a friendliness and caring heart. I will miss her for a long time.
I will miss Barbara’s friendly smile and encouraging words. She never failed to ask how I was doing or how my latest project was going. She was a staunch supporter of the arts and artists as well as someone who appreciated the beauty of the world around her. She will be greatly missed!
I could always count on Barbara for a kind word and a beautiful smile. I will miss her and think of her at all the future events with NAG.
I agree, Carol. Years ago, I did a presentation for the Guild and I was so nervous. Luckily there was a woman in the front row who showed lots of interest in what I was saying, and asked all kinds of questions, which instantly put me at ease. That was Barbara, and I have never forgotten that kindness.
I am so very sorry to hear about Barbara, always a kind and caring friend and fellow artist who created beautiful art.
