Social Committee Member Position Description – Holiday Party

The Nature Artists’ Guild is managed exclusively by volunteers. While there are basic duties required for each position, volunteers are also encouraged to suggest and implement (with agreement by the board) their own ideas. The Guild is always growing and changing and welcomes creativity from its leaders! Volunteers will be able to work with experienced committee members until they are comfortable working independently.

Social Committee Member – Holiday Party

Time Involvement

Typically averages fewer than 15 hours per year.

Basic Required Duties

• Assist in coordinating the annual holiday party held the first Thursday evening in December at the Thornhill Education Center of The Morton Arboretum.
• Work with the Social Committee Chair, Arboretum staff, and fellow committee members to procure tables, linens, and other basic supplies and arrange for or assist with invitations (electronic), centerpieces, entertainment, a musician, and other miscellaneous items.
• Assist in setting up at the event.
