Prospectus for 2024 Nature Artists’ Guild Special Exhibit at Aurora Public Art Commission

Special Exhibit at The Aurora Public Art Commission (APAC) Gallery, June 7 through July 13, 2024

From Nature Artists’ Guild Special Exhibits Co-Chair Cheryl Holz –

I encourage all members to participate in this show! APAC is housed in an old historic building in downtown Aurora, and our opening reception will coincide with Downtown Aurora’s First Fridays, which draws thousands of people to downtown.  Your work will be seen by a wider audience! They will provide live music and refreshments.  We will be printing postcards for you to distribute to promote the show. I am opening up my studio which is .2 miles away prior to the reception for a NAG members happy hour!

There is an opportunity to teach an afternoon workshop on the last day of the exhibit, Saturday July 13th with a stipend of $250. Please submit proposals to Cheryl Holz if interested.

I will be making postcards and designing some social media posts to help promote the show, so I need images of your work!!!! If you’re interested in possibly having your art included, please email Cheryl Holz the work you submitted ASAP (before April 1)

NAG member Studio Happy Hour- Since my studio is located only 0.2 miles from APAC (4 minute walk), I thought it might be fun to host a happy hour prior to the opening.  This is totally optional, but thought it might be fun!! I’ll provide wine, snacks, and a messy studio!  Contributions to the bar or snacks are welcome but by no means required.  We don’t really get to socialize at our meetings, so thought this might be a fun opportunity to connect! My studio is located in the Aurora Artists’ Studios, 50 E. Galena, 2nd floor #201, Aurora, IL 60504. – Cheryl Holz
