Registration forms are due September 30, 2008. To enter work in the exhibition, you must be a current 2008 Guild member.

Important Dates:

November 5: Referee Night
November 7: Artists Reception
November 8-9: Exhibition open to the public, Noon to 5:00 p.m.

Volunteers Wanted! Join the Board

We have three open positions on the Guild board: Treasurer, Recording Secretary and Program Chair. Please consider volunteering for one of these openings. Any member who is up-to-date in their dues is eligible to serve.

The Program Chair schedules and coordinates presenters for the Guild’s formal meetings. For the Program Chair job description, click here to download the PDF file

The Recording Secretary records the minutes of all Board meetings and distributes them by e-mail prior to the next meeting.

Guild Members Featured in New Book

Three Guild members – Karen Johnson, Bobbie Brown, and Lynne Railsback – and former member and Arboretum instructor Rhonda Nass are featured in Today’s Botanical Artists, a new book by Cora Marcus and Libby Kyer. The book showcases the work of 65 top American botanical artists.

Today’s Botanical Artists is available at the Arboretum gift shop and at the Sterling Morton Library.

Nature Artists’ Guild Spring 2008 Exhibition May 17-18


The annual Spring Exhibition opens Friday, May 17th with a members-only artists’ reception from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The reception is open to Morton Arboretum members, Guild members and their invited guests.

The show is open to the public Saturday and Sunday, May 17 and 18 from noon to 5:00 p.m. at the Thornhill Education Center. In addition to the work of over 40 artists, there will be demonstrations and artist-made items will be for sale.

The show’s featured artist is Judy Leppert.
